Shaun Majumder

Raised in rural Newfoundland, Canada, Shaun Majumder has spent his life entertaining audiences through comedy, television, and film.

He first gained national recognition as a stand-up comedian and television host, spending five years as a host and VJ with YTV, while also appearing on CBC's Just For Laughs comedy series. As his career continued to grow, Shaun took on a variety of film and television roles before joining the cast of CBC's This Hour Has 22 Minutes in 2003, where he became a fan favourite over an impressive 17-season run.

Over the past two decades, Shaun has built a successful career. Among his notable dramatic roles is Detective Vik Mahajan in ABC's critically acclaimed crime drama Detroit 1-8-7.

His extensive comedy credits include starring roles in Cedric the Entertainer Presents, Unhitched from the Farrelly Brothers, ABC's Married Not Dead, NBC's Nevermind Nirvana, and CBC's Hatching, Matching and Dispatching.
